We The Richmond Hill Social & Bocce Club is proud to recognize June as Italian Heritage Month. The month recognizes the contributions that Italian-Canadians have made to the country. Every June we honour and recognize the many years of achievements, successes and valuable contributions of Italian immigrants and Italian Canadians have made.In addition to the celebrations, Italian Heritage Month is also a time to remember the hardships faced by Italian Canadians who struggled to immigrate, build their lives and businesses, and contribute to our city. With more than 1.5 million people who reported Italian heritage in 2021, Canada is the proud home of one of the largest Italian diasporas in the world. From business to sports, cuisine, politics and much more, the community has enriched all aspects of our society and continues to do so.
